Joshua Jonathan

Born to an Indian mother and Nigerian (IGBO) father on June 4th in Kaduna - Nigeria, Joshua Jonathan is a photography and a contemporary art enthusiast. Joshua has acquired two degrees in Communications and New Media in applied practice/Journalism from Australian based institution, Monash. Joshua’s love for art brought him into Retro Africa, a thriving contemporary art platform in Abuja, Nigeria. Joshua’s interest for African contemporary art grew during the years he lived in Johannesburg, South Africa and through his close relationship with art mentors and fellow art enthusiasts - Dolly Kola-Balogun and Abdullahi Umar Doggi.
